Step 3: Start writing your blog posts

Once you've created your blog, it's time to start writing blog posts.

Click on the View Dashboard button and you will be redirected to the Dashboard panel of your blog.

The dashboard panel will look like the following:

Here in this Dashboard panel, you can manage everything for your blog.

Navigate to Posts and click on the Add Post button.

It will open a new page where you can fill in the following information

  • Blog Post Title
  • Blog post Content (or Article or Body)
  • Blog post URL (or slug)
  • Blog post Excerpt (Short Description)
  • Blog Post Category
  • Blog post Tags
  • Blog post Feature Image
  • Blog post Publish Time

It will show the following post editor page.

Once you filled up the required fields, you can save the blog post by clicking on the Save Changes button on the top bar.

Here in the above image, you can see that we have filled up a few fields like Title, Body, Excerpt, Category, and Tags.

You can also add new categories and tags from the left sidebar Tags and Categories link.

You can also upload the feature image for your blog post.

Once you have completed your blog post content and saved your blog post, it's time to Publish your blog post until that time it will remain in Draft.

Now click on the Publish button on the top bar and your blog post is now published.

When you navigate back to to Posts list page, you can see that a new blog post has been added and it's status is published.

But still, your blog post won't be live yet. Because there is one more step required for it which is the Deploy site.

Step 4: Deploy Blog site

This step will build your blog site and will deploy your blog site.

It's recommended to deploy your blog site only after you make all the changes on your blogs

Changes like:

  • Adding or Updating Posts
  • Adding or Updating Categories
  • Adding or Updating Tags
  • Adding or Updating Menus
  • Making changes in Blog Settings

There is a button on the navigation bar called Deploy Site. You can click that button after making all the changes which publishes all your changes to the live site.

You can leave the page after clicking the button if you want because it might take around 1 minute to publish all your blog site changes.

Once your blog site is deployed, you can visit your blog by clicking on the link that is on the sidebar under the Blogsy logo.

Step 5: Your blog site is live now

Once you navigate to your blog site from the sidebar, It will show your blog site like the following:

Step 6: Connect your domain.

Once your blog is ready, now it's time to connect your domain.

You can connect:

  • Root domain
  • Subdomain
  • Sub-directory

Click on Settings on the sidebar and click on Domain Setting.

Enter your custom domain or subdomain URL that you want to connect and then click on the Connect Domain button and then follow the steps that are mentioned there.
